Reasi Police Seize Property Linked to Drug Trafficking Under NDPS Act
Reasi, April 18, 2026:-Under the strategic direction of SSP Reasi Mukund Tibrewal, the Reasi Police have made a significant breakthrough in the 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan by seizing assets linked to the illegal drug trade.
The action stemmed from an investigation into FIR number 50/2026, which led authorities to a motorcycle owned by the accused, Sudarshan Singh.
A financial inquiry spearheaded by PSI Rahul Jamwal of the Talwara Police Post confirmed that the vehicle, bearing registration number JK20C-9304, was purchased using proceeds from narcotics trafficking rather than any legitimate source of income.
This detailed investigation into the suspect’s financial records revealed a pattern of suspicious transactions directly tied to criminal activities. The seizure of the motorcycle was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act to prevent the accused from disposing of the asset.
The operation was coordinated by SHO Khyatimaan Khajuria and supervised by DySP Headquarters Vishal Singh Jamwal and Additional SP Iftekhar Ahmed.
By targeting the financial gains of drug peddlers, the Reasi Police are working to dismantle the economic foundation of local narcotics networks.
This decisive step reinforces the department’s commitment to using every legal tool available, including the attachment of illegally acquired property, to eradicate the drug menace and ensure a secure environment for the people of Reasi.
