Amritsar Police Dismantle Cross Border Drug and Arms Networks Arrest Seven

AMRITSAR, Aug 10 — In a major breakthrough against cross-border crime, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police has dismantled two illegal drug and weapons supply networks, arresting seven individuals.

Operations resulted in the recovery of 10 illegal pistols, over one kilogram of heroin, five live cartridges, and a drone used for cross-border transport.Preliminary investigations indicate that the arrested suspects were operating under the directions of foreign-based handlers who facilitated the movement of contraband and arms across the International Border. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the networks were actively distributing illicit materials into the region.

Police have registered two separate cases at the Cantonment and D-Division police stations in Amritsar to initiate detailed legal proceedings. Investigators are actively tracing forward and backward linkages to identify additional associates involved in the smuggling operations and disrupt the broader network.
