Assam Rifles and Assam Police Seize Morphine Worth 13 Crore in Sribhumi
SRIBHUMI, August 11, 2026 — In a joint operation against drug networks, Assam Rifles under Spear Corps and Assam Police apprehended a drug peddler and seized 8.224 kg of morphine valued at approximately ₹13 crore in the Badarpur area of Sribhumi district, Assam.
Security personnel also confiscated one vehicle during the operation. The successful apprehension highlights effective inter-agency synergy and seamless coordination across districts aimed at dismantling organized narcotics syndicates operating in the region.
