Punjab AGTF and Ludhiana Police Apprehend Two Wanted in Harry Jhanda Murder Case

LUDHIANA, August 11, 2026 — In a joint operation, the Anti-Gangster Task Force of Punjab Police and Commissionerate Ludhiana Police apprehended two key suspects wanted in connection with the murder of Harjinder Singh, also known as Harry Jhanda.

During the operation, security officials recovered a Glock 9mm pistol along with one live cartridge from the possession of the accused.Preliminary investigations indicate that one of the arrested individuals has an extensive criminal background, with prior involvement in several cases including attempt to murder and violations under the NDPS Act, and was actively running a local gang in Ludhiana.

An FIR has been registered at Tibba Police Station in Ludhiana, and further investigations are currently underway as Punjab Police continues its effort to eliminate organized crime and ensure public safety across the state.
