Jammu Railway Division Achieves Record 94 Percent Punctuality Rate
JAMMU, Aug 10 — Northern Railway’s Jammu Division has set a new operational benchmark by achieving its highest-ever single-day punctuality rate of 94.12 percent for Mail and Express trains. Recorded on July 31, 2026, this historic figure surpasses the division’s previous record of 92.59 percent, which was established on February 20, 2025.
The accomplishment comes during a period of major infrastructure modernization across the network. Operational teams successfully maintained train schedules while managing complex technical tasks and executing critical traffic and maintenance blocks without causing travel disruptions for passengers.
Officials attributed the achievement to seamless coordination between field personnel and central management teams. The division control office monitored train movements around the clock to address potential delays quickly, ensuring that ongoing development projects did not compromise passenger convenience or safety.
Looking ahead, Jammu Division aims to sustain this performance by adopting advanced operational technologies and continuing its focus on safe, efficient, and reliable rail travel for passengers across the country.
