CISF director general reviews security preparedness for parliament monsoon session
NEW DELHI, July 19 — Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force Praveer Ranjan visited the Parliament House Complex to review operational preparedness ahead of the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament.
During the visit, the director general chaired a meet with the personnel, interacted with the staff, and felicitated outstanding performers. He emphasized the critical need for continuous skill upgradation and maintaining the highest standards of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear preparedness.
The director general also held meetings with the Lok Sabha Speaker and the Lok Sabha Secretary-General to discuss and review the comprehensive security arrangements. As part of these preparatory measures, a multi-agency mock drill was conducted at the complex to validate emergency response mechanisms and strengthen inter-agency coordination.
The large-scale drill involved key stakeholders including the National Security Guard, National Disaster Response Force, Delhi Police, Central Reserve Police Force, Intelligence Bureau, and Parliament Security Service.Commending the high level of professionalism and seamless coordination displayed by all participating agencies, the director general expressed full confidence in the collective preparedness of the security apparatus.
He assured that all necessary protocols are firmly in place to ensure the safe, secure, and smooth conduct of the forthcoming Parliament session.
