AULI, JOSHIMATH AUGUST 01 — Emphasizing the foundational military doctrine that victory is decided long before the first step onto the battlefield, Major General Amaresh Gunjan, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the elite Golden Key Division, carried out an extensive operational review at the high-altitude Foreign Training Node (FTN) in Auli, Joshimath. The comprehensive inspection focused on three critical pillars of force capability: operational readiness, training standards, and administrative preparedness.

During his visit to the strategically vital high-altitude facility—a premier hub for joint international exercises and specialized tactical warfare—Maj Gen Gunjan evaluated ongoing training modules and assessed the combat readiness of troops operating under challenging terrain and climate conditions. Continuous combat drills and joint exercises remain central to this push, systematically sharpening tactical proficiency and building seamless international interoperability with allied forces.
