Director General of Police Inspects Manipur Rifles Battalion in Imphal

Imphal, August 1: Director General of Police Mukesh Singh visited the 2nd Battalion Manipur Rifles campus in Imphal today to inspect infrastructure and evaluate operational readiness.

Accompanied by the Additional Director General of Police for Law and Order, Armed Police, and Intelligence, the police chief conducted a comprehensive tour of key facilities across the unit premises.During the visit, Mukesh Singh inspected the battalion’s Quarter Guard, the ongoing construction site of the Manipur Police Research Institute, the recreation hall, barracks, parade ground, and jawans’ mess.

The visit aimed to assess the living conditions of personnel and review the progress of ongoing developmental projects within the complex.Following the inspection, the police chief held an interaction with battalion officials to address key administrative and operational priorities.

The discussions focused on enhancing the security of the battalion, rationalizing manpower deployment, and replacing old, dilapidated structures with new barrack facilities for the personnel.
