Minister Javid Ahmad Dar inspects Gulmarg Convention Centre and calls for upgraded tourist facilities at world-renowned destination

GULMARG, May 13, 2026:- Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj, Javid Ahmad Dar, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Gulmarg Convention Centre today to evaluate existing infrastructure and visitor services.

Accompanied by Member of Legislative Assembly Farooq Ahmad Shah and Member of Legislative Assembly Javid Hassan Beig, the Minister directed officials to enhance the projection of tourist-friendly facilities provided by the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

He emphasized that seamless coordination among various departments is essential to ensure that international and domestic visitors are fully informed about the amenities available at this premier destination.

During the visit, the Minister underscored the critical role Gulmarg plays as a primary driver of the regional tourism economy and a symbol of natural beauty. He stated that maintaining world-class standards in service delivery and hospitality is a priority for the government to further elevate the overall tourist experience.

While pushing for the continuous upgrading of infrastructure to meet global standards, he also stressed the importance of preserving the ecological integrity and scenic charm of the area.
