Project Dantak builds new Bailey Bridge over Borla River to boost India Bhutan connectivity

SAMRANG, June 28, 2026 :- Project Dantak, operating under the Border Roads Organisation, successfully launched a 110-foot Double-Double Bailey Bridge over the Borla River on the Samrang–Jomotsangkha Road in Eastern Bhutan.

This newly constructed infrastructure significantly strengthens connectivity to remote local communities in the region.

The successful completion of the bridge project serves to reinforce the enduring friendship and collaborative relationship between India and Bhutan through the development of resilient, vital infrastructure.
