Counter Intelligence Kashmir conducts multiple raids across Kashmir valley
SRINAGAR, June 27, 2026:- The Counter Intelligence Kashmir conducted multiple raids at various locations across the Kashmir valley on Saturday as part of an ongoing counter-terror investigation. Security teams targeted specific residences in the Srinagar, Ganderbal, and Anantnag districts.
OIn Srinagar, a specialized team searched the current residence of Riyaz Ahmad Beigh, a native of Dalal Mohalla who has been residing near the Shalteng police station for the past 16 years. Simultaneously, another team led by senior police officials carried out a search operation at the house of Syed Qalandar Shah in the Chountwaliwar Lar area of Ganderbal district.
In Anantnag district, enforcement teams raided the home of Gulzar Ahmad Rather in the Nowgam area of Kapran. Rather has served as an Imam at a local mosque in Nowgam since 2012. During the operation, authorities recovered and seized a mobile phone.
The seizure was executed in connection with an open case registered under various sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act at the Joint Investigation Centre of the Counter Intelligence Kashmir police station in Srinagar.
Official sources confirmed that the operation in Anantnag concluded peacefully, while searches in other parts of the valley remained underway.
