Anantnag Police Conduct Mock Drill for Suspicious Movement Ahead of Amarnath Yatra Pilgrimage

ANANTNAG, JUNE 27: As part of comprehensive security preparedness for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, police in Anantnag conducted a specialized suspicious movement mock drill in close coordination with the Central Reserve Police Force, the Anti-Sabotage Team, and Fire and Emergency Services.

The targeted drill was organized to assess the operational readiness, tactical coordination, and swift response capabilities of security and emergency response agencies when handling potential security threats along the pilgrimage route. By simulating a real-time threat scenario, the exercise enabled participating teams to practice standard operating procedures, reinforce inter-agency communication, and ensure quick deployment in emergency situations.

During the security exercise, the joint forces demonstrated professional coordination in essential parameters including tactical area domination, comprehensive search and sanitization operations, threat assessment, and emergency communications. The simulation also allowed commanding officers to evaluate existing field strategies and identify areas for further refinement.

Law enforcement officials reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful pilgrimage for all arriving devotees, noting that these regular mock drills serve to enhance on-ground preparedness and boost public confidence ahead of the annual pilgrimage.
