Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Reviews Southern Command’s Operational Readiness and Honors Veterans in Madhya Pradesh

INDORE, February 25, 2026 — Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, conducted a high-level visit to the Headquarters of the Paschim Madhya Pradesh (PMP) Sub Area to evaluate its comprehensive operational and administrative preparedness.

During the visit, the Army Commander received detailed briefings on critical Military-Civil Fusion initiatives, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) readiness, and ongoing infrastructure projects designed to bolster the region’s operational efficiency and Rear Area Security Operations.

Highlighting the force’s commitment to modernization, Lt Gen Seth emphasized the importance of capability development and remaining an operationally agile, “future-ready” force capable of navigating the complexities of evolving security challenges.In addition to the operational review, the Army Commander dedicated significant time to engaging with the veteran community, reinforcing the bond between the military’s past and present.

He felicitated several outstanding veterans with the Veteran Achievers Award, recognizing their exemplary and continued contributions to nation-building. During a focused interaction session, Lt Gen Seth personally addressed concerns regarding welfare, pensions, healthcare, and post-service employment, assuring the veterans of steadfast institutional support.

Commending the PMP Sub Area for its high state of effectiveness, he exhorted all ranks to maintain their relentless pursuit of professional excellence and stay prepared for any contingency.
