GUWAHATI, April 18, 2026:The Red Horns Division of the Gajraj Corps successfully conducted a comprehensive pre-monsoon disaster management exercise, JALRAHAT, at IIT Guwahati, Assam, to enhance regional preparedness against seasonal floods.
The exercise featured a large-scale simulation of flood scenarios, allowing various agencies to practice coordinated logistics, rapid response maneuvers, and integrated disaster management strategies.
The event showcased the seamless collaboration between the Indian Army, civil administration, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), highlighting a unified front in addressing the recurring natural disasters that affect the state of Assam.
Lt Gen Neeraj Shukla, GOC Gajraj Corps, attended the event to interact with the participants and lauded the commitment shown by all involved agencies and individuals.
