Poonch Police Conduct Multi Location Searches to Dismantle Drug Networks in Mendhar

Poonch, April 18, 2026:- In a significant advancement of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, the Mendhar Police executed a series of targeted search operations across various locations today to disrupt emerging drug networks.

The crackdown involved detailed house searches at the residences of Abid Ali and Sajid Ali, both residents of Village Gohlad, who were previously arrested in connection with a major narcotics case registered under the NDPS Act.

By revisiting these locations, authorities aimed to uncover further evidence and dismantle the logistical support systems used by these individuals to facilitate illegal drug trafficking in the region.

The operation also extended to the properties of suspected associates, specifically Ghulam Rasool and Sadar-ud-din, as part of a broader effort to identify and neutralize all active drug-related activities in the Mendhar area.

These searches were conducted with high levels of professionalism and transparency, following the acquisition of legal warrants from the competent court.

To ensure strict adherence to judicial procedures, the raids were carried out in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses.

District Police Poonch reiterated its zero-tolerance policy regarding narcotics, stating that proactive measures will continue until the drug menace is fully eradicated, and called upon the public to assist by sharing credible information.
