Delhi Crime Branch arrests proclaimed offender for knife attacks on wife
NEW DELHI, June 14, 2026 :- The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police has arrested a proclaimed offender following a swift operation near Loni in Ghaziabad for repeatedly attacking his wife. The accused had allegedly carried out multiple knife attacks against his wife, including three separate murderous assaults during 2021.
After absconding from legal proceedings, the individual was reportedly plotting another assault against her when law enforcement intercepted him. In addition to the attempted murder charges, the accused was also wanted by authorities in connection with another case involving grievous hurt.
The operation was executed by a specialized team led by Inspector Gautam Malik under the direct supervision of ACP Raj Pal Dabas. The entire crackdown was conducted under the strategic guidance of DCP Harsh Indora to apprehend the criminal who had been evading arrest and judicial proceedings for an extended period.
The successful arrest has neutralized a persistent threat to the victim and brought a long-term fugitive into judicial custody.
