Reasi Senior Superintendent of Police Reviews Security of Vital Installations in Arnas

ARNAS, April 21, 2026 — Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Mukund Tibrewal, conducted an extensive security assessment of critical infrastructure within the Arnas sub-division today.

Accompanied by Additional SP Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed and SDPO Arnas Updesh Kumar, the senior official visited several key locations including the Kouri Bakal Bridge over the Chenab River, Dugga Railway Station, and Sawalakote.

The inspection was designed to evaluate the readiness of security forces and ensure the protection of strategic assets throughout the district.

During his visit to the Kouri Bakal Bridge, the SSP engaged with personnel from the CRPF, GRP, and Special Police Posts to discuss local defense strategies.

He emphasized the necessity of seamless inter-agency coordination to maintain effective area domination over surrounding villages and forest regions.

The official directed the implementation of rigorous access control measures and the integration of modern surveillance technology to monitor the area. He further stressed that constant vigilance is required to identify and mitigate any potential security threats in the vicinity of these high-value targets.

At the Dugga Railway Station and Sawalakote, the SSP held discussions with the Railway Protection Force and members of the Village Defence Guards. He mandated the systematic documentation of all daily area domination exercises and called for regular training and firing practice for the volunteers.

Additionally, during inspections of Police Post Dhansal and Police Station Arnas, the SSP ordered the improvement of record maintenance and directed investigating officers to prioritize the resolution of missing persons cases and the apprehension of absconders.

He concluded by affirming that the safety of religious sites and vital installations remains a top priority, warning that no negligence would be tolerated in the execution of these duties.
