Rajouri Police Seizes House Worth Over 43 Lakh Belonging to Alleged Drug Trafficker

RAJOURI, April 17, 2026:- In a significant crackdown on the financial networks of narcotics syndicates, the Rajouri Police has attached an immovable property valued at over 43 lakh rupees belonging to a chronic drug offender.

The action was carried out under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act, specifically invoking Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

The attached asset is a single-storey residential house located in Muradpur, Rajouri, owned by Sourab Kumar, son of Rajinder Kumar.

The attachment followed a rigorous legal process initiated by the Rajouri Police Station after identifying the accused as a repeat offender.

Authorities noted that the individual is currently named in multiple FIRs registered across various police stations within the district.

This seizure is part of a broader strategy under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, an initiative aimed at creating a drug-free region by dismantling the economic infrastructure of those engaged in the illegal drug trade.

Police emphasized that such measures are essential to deter trafficking and ensure that proceeds from crime are systematically neutralized.
