Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visits Nunwan base camp to review arrangements for Amarnath Yatra
SRINAGAR, June 25: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the Nunwan base camp with senior officials to review the on-ground arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra. The Lieutenant Governor conducted a detailed inspection and took stock of all amenities in place to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and welcoming experience for the arriving devotees.
During the visit, he inspected the accommodation blocks and other critical infrastructure at the camp, directing the concerned officers to expedite pending works at a few remaining blocks. He emphasized that timely completion must be achieved without compromising on high-quality standards, pilgrim safety, comfort, and convenience.
The Lieutenant Governor was accompanied during the inspection by Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor and CEO of the Amarnathji Shrine Board Mandeep K Bhandari, Commissioner Secretary of the Youth Services and Sports Department and Nodal Officer for the Pahalgam Axis Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg, IGP Kashmir VK Birdi, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, SSP Anantnag Amod Nagpure Ashok, alongside other senior officers.
