Jammu Police intensifies security with search operation in Khour border area

JAMMU, June 25, 2026:- Jammu Police on Thursday conducted an extensive cordon and search operation in the Khour area as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security, maintain law and order, and enhance public confidence in border and adjoining regions.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of senior police officers and involved personnel from Police Station Khour, along with teams from all Border Police Posts and Police Posts functioning under its jurisdiction.

As part of the security sweep, police teams conducted intensive searches, verification drives, and area domination exercises in identified locations. Special focus was placed on sensitive and vulnerable zones to ensure effective surveillance and prevent any potential threat to public safety.

Officials said the exercise was aimed at reinforcing the security grid, maintaining a close watch on suspicious activities, and deterring anti-social and anti-national elements from disrupting peace in the region.During the operation, police personnel thoroughly checked various locations and increased patrolling in strategic areas.

The exercise was conducted in a professional and coordinated manner, with officers maintaining close interaction with local residents to strengthen public confidence and encourage community participation in maintaining security.According to police, no suspicious movement, unlawful activity, or security-related concern was detected during the operation.
