KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Srinagar and Kangan Areas for Maintenance
SRINAGAR, April 19, 2026 — The Executive Engineer of Power Distribution Kashmir has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several districts to facilitate essential maintenance and line works.
Residents in Srinagar served by the 33 kV Bemina-Fatehkadal and Bemina-Barbarshah lines—including KK Moulla, Nowpora, Bohri Kadal, BB Shah, Badademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisadak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basant Bagh, Car Parking, and Maisuma Bazar—will experience outages from 08 AM to 03 PM on April 22, 27, and 30. In the Beerwah-Arizal sector, power supply to Arizal, Zanigam, Reyar, and Doodhpathry will be suspended from 10 AM to 11 PM on April 21 and 23.
Furthermore, the 33 KV Baghimehtab line will undergo maintenance on April 20 and 23, affecting Baghimentab, Kralpora, Mocha, Gopalpora, and Kantabagh from 10 AM to 04 PM.
Additionally, a major shutdown is planned for the 132/33 kV Grid Sub Station Kangan on April 20, which will impact Gund, Gadribal, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, and Ganiwan from 8:30 AM to 04 PM.
