Indian Army Spear Corps Launches Youth Empowerment Initiatives Across Northeast States

SHILLONG, Aug 2: Indian Army formations under the Spear Corps conducted a series of youth outreach initiatives across several Northeastern states to inspire students and support career opportunities in the armed forces.

As part of these programs, the Dao Division organized a special event titled A Day with Soldiers at Hayuliang in Arunachal Pradesh. Students participated in a wreath-laying ceremony, interactive motivational sessions, live drone flying demonstrations, and screenings of inspirational films to gain firsthand insight into military life.

In Nagaland, the Assam Rifles successfully conducted a 15-day pre-recruitment training program in Peren district to help local youth prepare for competitive selection into the armed forces. Additionally, an interactive youth engagement session was held in Bishnupur district of Manipur, focusing on career counseling, skill enhancement, social awareness, and recruitment guidance.

These comprehensive outreach efforts by military formations aim to empower local youth, foster national integration, and provide guidance toward meaningful career pathways in public service.
