Indian Army and Assam Rifles provide emergency medical aid across northeast states

KOHIMA, JUNE 12, 2026 — The Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations under the Spear Corps have extended critical medical assistance and emergency services to underserved and remote locations across Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur.

As part of this humanitarian mission, the Dao Division organized a comprehensive medical camp in the remote Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh to provide healthcare access to local communities.

Simultaneously, Assam Rifles medical teams deployed prompt emergency care to an injured child in Kiphire and successfully treated a road accident victim in Mokokchung, Nagaland.

Demonstrating a swift crisis response in Manipur, the security forces provided life-saving first aid to two critically injured civilians in Kamjong before executing a coordinated land and air evacuation to transfer them to the Military Hospital in Leimakhong for advanced medical treatment.
