Disaster Preparedness Drill Conducted at KGPS Bandipora to Enhance Emergency Response

BANDIPORA, April 24, 2026:-In a proactive effort to bolster regional safety and operational readiness, a comprehensive multi-agency disaster mock exercise was successfully carried out at the KGPS Bandipora site.

The simulation focused on a high-stakes “Cloud Burst” scenario occurring near the Main Access Tunnel (MAT) at the Power House, an area often referred to as the Gateway to Central Asia.

The drill was overseen by Shri Sandip Chakraborty, Commandant of KGPS Bandipora, alongside a cohort of senior officers and specialized personnel.

The exercise demonstrated a seamless integration of emergency services, featuring a joint response from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and local Fire and Medical teams.

Participants executed precision maneuvers and coordinated rescue protocols to simulate real-world conditions of a natural disaster.

This monthly initiative underscores the CISF’s ongoing commitment to strengthening inter-agency synergy and ensuring a swift, effective response to protect critical infrastructure and personnel in the face of unpredictable environmental threats.
