Crime branch arrests proclaimed NDPS offender in Vrindavan after eleven months on the run

NEW DELHI, June 5, 2026 :- The Crime Branch has successfully apprehended a proclaimed offender wanted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act who had been evading arrest for nearly eleven months. The operation was executed by the WR-II unit of the Crime Branch following a persistent pursuit of the individual.

The accused was wanted in connection with multiple drug-related cases registered at both the Crime Branch police station and the Bhalswa Dairy police station.The tracking process revealed that the suspect managed to avoid law enforcement for almost a year by frequently changing locations and moving across different regions.

However, meticulous investigation and intelligence gathering eventually placed him in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, where the police team moved in to make the arrest.The successful capture was executed by a team led by Inspector Satish Malik.

The entire operation was conducted under the direct guidance of ACP Rajpal Dabas and the overall supervision of DCP Harsh Indora, ensuring the long-term fugitive was finally brought into custody to face the pending legal proceedings against him.
