Assam Rifles pays tribute to rifleman Wadzapao Kuki for supreme sacrifice in Arunachal Pradesh

CHANGLANG, June 3, 2026 — The Changlang Battalion of the Assam Rifles paid a solemn tribute to late Rifleman Wadzapao Kuki during a wreath-laying ceremony held at Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh, on June 2, 2026.

The ceremony was organized in honor of the brave soldier who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on June 2, 1960, while combating insurgent elements in Imphal, Manipur.

The memorial event commenced with the Commandant of the unit laying a wreath as a mark of respect to the fallen hero.

While addressing all ranks, the Commandant recounted the inspiring story of the late Rifleman Wadzapao Kuki’s courage, deep devotion to duty, and selfless sacrifice, instilling a profound sense of pride, honor, and commitment among the serving personnel.
