Assam Rifles Director General Evaluates Security Strategy and Youth Outreach in Manipur
PALLEL, MANIPUR April 15,2026 — Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, the Director General of Assam Rifles, conducted a high level security assessment at the Pallel Garrison to ensure continued stability across the region.
During his visit, the Director General performed a thorough review of the current security grid, focusing specifically on the necessity of consistent area domination. He stressed that maintaining a strong operational presence is vital for effective regional security and long term peace.
Beyond strategic oversight, the visit highlighted the military’s role in local empowerment and social growth. Lt Gen Lakhera met with the team behind the upcoming Community Radio Station and the faculty of the Skill Development center.
