IMPARD Director General reviews development works under Vibrant Village Programme in Samba

SAMBA, June 25: Director General of the Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development Rehana Batool visited Village Kandral in Block Ramgarh under the Vibrant Village Programme to review the progress of developmental works and assess the implementation of government initiatives in the border area.

During the visit, the Director General undertook an on-the-spot inspection of ongoing projects and interacted with local residents to obtain first-hand feedback on public service delivery. She listened to the grievances projected by the villagers and accorded in-principle approval to the developmental proposals prepared by the village Nodal Officer and Block Development Officer of Vijaypur.

Emphasizing that development must be people-centric and need-based, Rehana Batool directed all sectoral officers to draw up a comprehensive development plan in close coordination with local inhabitants to ensure community aspirations are reflected in every intervention. She underscored the need for effective inter-departmental convergence to accelerate the pace of development and ensure that every government scheme transforms the border settlement into a vibrant village equipped with modern infrastructure and civic amenities.

While inspecting departmental stalls, she commended the participating departments for creating awareness about welfare schemes through informative displays and providing on-the-spot public services. Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the socio-economic advancement of border communities, the Director General stated that all initiatives under the programme would be implemented in mission mode to strengthen infrastructure, improve essential services, and generate sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Earlier, the Assistant Commissioner Development presented a comprehensive overview of the objectives and achievements of the programme for Village Kandral, which was attended by senior district officers, sectoral officers, and local residents.
