Jammu, 19 August :- Crime Branch has booked eighteen (18) individuals, including four police officials , for criminal breach of trust & frauds by registering six separate FIRs.On the communication received from Police Headquarters (PHQ) J&K, an FIR has been registered against HC Mohan Singh , Follower Vijay Kumar , Follower Sohan Lal and Assistant Incharge CPPP Jammu Shalinder Dogra for criminal breach of trust.CB has also registered an FIR against Prop. of M/s Mala Enterprises Auction Group (chit fund type company) Vijay Khokher, who is Follower in police department, for committing criminal breach of trust by misappropriating Rs. 34.25 lakh deposited in his company by the complainant Sanjeev Sharma R/o Bishnah Jammu.
Crime Branch has registered a formal case on the complaint of Raj Kumar Mehra of Channi Himmat, Jammu who became victim of filmy style fraud. He was befriended on facebook by a lady from United Kingdom who later pretended to be arrested by customs officers at Mumbai International Airport while coming to India to meet the complainant and demanded & received Rs. 48.80 lakh from the complainant fraudulently for managing escape from the customs department.
Accused named in the FIR are : Alka Joshi D/o Chandra Prakash Joshi R/o H.No 84 Bans Maitoli Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, Chandra Bhan S/o Tikam Singh R/o Shakupur Raura Anupshahar Bulandshahar, UP, Vinod Mapsekar S/o Suresh Bhai R/o 73 Mahindra Milni Chali Railway East Kalol Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, Subash Kumar S/o Mool Chandra R/o Bhikharipur Patasia Bangarmau Unnao U.P, Rajesh Baliram Jadhav S/o Baliram Jadhav R/o 405/03 Swati Nagar Aas B.B Road Kalyan Road Bhivandi District Thane Maharashtra and others.
A case has also been registered by CB against a property dealer, Dharamvir Sharma S/o Paras Ram Sharma R/o Vikas Nagar, Patoli Magotrian Jammu, on two separate complaints lodged by two sisters namely Sushma Devi and Savita Devi of Jammu for allegedly duping them of Rs. 24.00 lakh on the pretext of providing plots at Nagbani Jammu.β
Another case has also been registered against Vijay Gill S/o Gopal Gill R/o Supwal Samba and Haris Gill S/o Pawan Gill R/o Supwal Samba, on the written complaint received from Vishal Kumar R/o Mawa Samba alleging therein that accused has duped Rs. 20.00 lakh on the pretext of providing work visa.
Yet another FIR has been registered against Ravinder Singh S/o late S. Avtar Singh R/o Digiana camp Jammu A/p Nanital, Uttrakhand and others on the five separate written complaints received from complainants namely Ravneet Kour, Surinder kour, Avtar Singh of Poonch, Sanjeev Kumar of Nowshera Rajouri, and Gurdeep Kour of R S Pura Jammu, alleging therein that accused have duped them of over Rs. 30.00 lakh (approx.) on the pretext of providing plots at Gadigarh Jammu.β
Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu, Benam Tosh confirmed that six separate cases viz. case FIR No. 44/2025, case FIR No. 45/2025, case FIR No. 47/2025 , case FIR No. 48/2025 , case FIR No. 49/2025 and case FIR No. 50/2025 have been registered at Police Station Crime Branch (EOW) Jammu on the basis of the contents of the complaints and preliminary verification reports and in-depth investigations started.
