Assam Rifles Holds Security Meetings in Manipur and Mizoram to Boost Border Security and Civil Military Ties
IMPHAL, June 27, 2026 — Assam Rifles personnel operating under the Spear Corps conducted a series of security and coordination meetings across Manipur and Mizoram to fortify international border security and strengthen community ties.
At Kaimai in Manipur, security forces engaged with the local Village Council to focus on maintaining regional peace and ensuring the uninterrupted movement of traffic along National Highway 37.
Concurrently, in the Champhai and Lawngtlai districts of Mizoram, Assam Rifles representatives interacted closely with village authorities, civil society organizations, and leaders of the Young Mizo Association across four remote border villages.
These interactions were aimed at enhancing civil-military coordination, addressing local grievances, and developing joint, collaborative strategies to effectively curb illegal drug trafficking in the border areas.
