Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Reviews Operational Preparedness and Combat Readiness in Ladakh

LEH, June 27, 2026 — Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi visited the Fire and Fury Corps headquarters to review its operational preparedness, combat readiness, and ongoing capability development in the Ladakh sector

. During the briefing, senior commanders updated the army chief on the prevailing security situation, infrastructure development projects, and ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing surveillance, mobility, and integrated operational capabilities along the border.

The army chief commended all ranks of the corps for their exceptional professionalism, unwavering dedication, and steadfast commitment while operating in one of the world’s most challenging and high-altitude terrains.

He further exhorted the personnel to remain strictly mission-focused, operationally agile, and ever prepared to effectively meet any emerging security challenges in the region.
