Indian Navy Sail Training Ship INS Sudarshini Arrives in Baltimore for Lokayan Expedition

BALTIMORE, June 27, 2026 — As part of the landmark Lokayan 2026 expedition, the Indian Navy’s sail training ship, INS Sudarshini, arrived in Baltimore, Maryland, following a transit through the historic Chesapeake and Delaware Canal and beneath major Mid-Atlantic bridges.

Ahead of the scheduled Sail250 events, the vessel and its crew will engage in various maritime interactions and community outreach activities in the region.Earlier in its journey, INS Sudarshini represented India at Sail250 Virginia in Norfolk, where it actively participated in both the Parade of Sail and the City Crew Parade.

Having sailed over 13,000 nautical miles in five months from Kochi to Norfolk, the extensive voyage continues to showcase India’s rich maritime heritage and promote the global message of unity.
