Udhampur Police Spearhead Drug Awareness Drive at GHS Chapper Under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan
UDHAMPUR, April 16, 2026 — In a proactive move to combat the rising tide of substance abuse, the District Police Udhampur organized a comprehensive drug awareness session at Government High School (GHS) Sarota Chapper.
Falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Latti, the initiative was held as a key component of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan”. The primary objective of the program was to sensitize the youth and local community members regarding the devastating impact of narcotics on physical health, mental well-being, and long-term societal growth.
Throughout the interactive session, police officials and educators provided detailed insights into the various types of illicit substances circulating in the region and the specific physiological and legal consequences associated with their use.
Students were empowered with practical preventive strategies and encouraged to act as ambassadors for a drug-free lifestyle.
The event saw a robust turnout, with approximately 180 to 200 students participating in the discussions. The program concluded on a high note, reinforcing a collective commitment among the faculty, students, and local residents to foster a healthier, addiction-free environment for the future of the Union Territory.
