Property Worth 71 Lakh Owned by Drug Peddler Attached by Udhampur Police
UDHAMPUR, MAY 15, 2026:- Udhampur Police continued its firm commitment towards the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan by reiterating its resolve to intensify action against drug peddlers while simultaneously creating awareness to safeguard the youth from the menace of drugs.
As part of this ongoing crackdown, the police department has attached an immovable property worth 71 lakhs belonging to drug peddler Jawaz Ahmed Wani, a resident of Akramabad, Doda, under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
The attachment has been executed in connection with an ongoing case registered under FIR number 32/2026 at the Rehambal police station.
During the course of the investigation, it came to light that the accused had acquired the residential asset directly from the proceeds of illicit narcotics trade, leading the authorities to seize the property for further legal proceedings.
