Captain Rahul Pawar Assumes Charge as Officer in Charge of Navigation Direction School

KOCHI, MAY 15, 2026 :- Captain Rahul Pawar assumed charge as the Officer-in-Charge of the Navigation Direction School from Captain Kunal Bharadwaj on May 15, 2026. Prior to this new appointment, Captain Rahul Pawar served in the Directorate of Naval Plans at the Naval Headquarters.

An alumnus of the Indian Naval Academy, he was commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 1, 2003. As a specialist in Navigation Direction, the officer has served as the Navigating Officer of Indian Naval Ships Karmuk, Ranvijay, and was the Commissioning Navigating Officer of INS Kolkata. He also holds operational sea training experience as Staff Officer (ND) at Indian Naval Watermanship Training.

A graduate of the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington and recognized as the Best in Academics at the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College, the officer has previously commanded Indian Naval Ships Karmuk and Gaj.
