Indian Army and security forces recover large arms cache and apprehend six insurgents in Manipur joint operations

IMPHAL, June 30, 2026:- In a major success against insurgent networks, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, in coordination with the Manipur Police and Central Security Forces, conducted a series of intelligence-based joint operations across Manipur from June 21 to June 27, 2026. The coordinated security operations led to the apprehension of six cadres belonging to different proscribed outfits active in the region.During the week-long operations, security forces recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, explosives, and war-like stores from various locations. The seized inventory included automatic rifles, pistols, improvised mortars, hand grenades, and advanced communication equipment. These continuous and synchronized operations reaffirm the firm resolve of the security forces to dismantle insurgent networks and maintain long-term peace, stability, and security across the state.
