Lieutenant General Madanraj Pande assumes command of Fire and Fury Corps in Ladakh

LEH, June 30, 2026 :- Lieutenant General Madanraj Pande officially assumed command of the Fire and Fury Corps today, taking over leadership from Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla at a ceremony in Leh.

The change of command marks a seamless leadership transition for the strategically vital corps, which is responsible for safeguarding India’s frontiers across the sensitive Ladakh region.

Upon relinquishing his post, the outgoing corps commander conveyed his appreciation to all ranks for their high levels of professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to security.

Following the assumption of command, the incoming corps commander exhorted the deployed troops to maintain their high operational readiness and continue upholding the finest traditions and ethos of the Indian Army in service to the nation.
