Indian Coast Guard Seizes Narcotics Worth 12 Crore Near Kutch Coast

GANDHINAGAR, May 11, 2026:- The Indian Coast Guard recovered 24 kilograms of narcotic substances during an operational sortie near the Sikran Pir area in the Kutch region of Gujarat on May 9.

The contraband was found concealed in 20 sealed packets in an isolated location along the coast. Initial investigations suggest that the seized material is charas, with an estimated market value of approximately 12 crore.

Following the recovery, the narcotics were secured for further processing as authorities conduct a detailed investigation in coordination with local law enforcement agencies.

This operation marks the second consecutive day of drug seizures in the region, underscoring the high state of operational readiness and vigilance maintained by the Indian Coast Guard.

The successful recovery reflects a continued commitment to securing maritime borders and disrupting illegal drug trafficking networks at sea.
