Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft deliver 66 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Venezuela
CARACAS, June 28, 2026 :-Two Indian Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft successfully completed a demanding 23-hour flight covering over 14,000 kilometers from Delhi to Caracas, Venezuela, as part of Operation Amistad.
The aircraft landed at Maiquetía International Airport carrying 66 tonnes of critical humanitarian aid. The delivered cargo included an Indian Army Field Hospital, over 35 tonnes of relief supplies, essential medicines, medical equipment, and two BHISHM Cubes.
This extensive transoceanic deployment highlights India’s strategic capability to provide rapid humanitarian assistance and reaffirms its growing role as a reliable first responder on a global scale.
