Army Base Workshop drives indigenous defence innovation and future warfare capabilities
NEW DELHI, June 28, 2026 :- The 509 Army Base Workshop is actively engineering future battlefield technologies by developing counter-unmanned aerial systems, advanced thermal imagers, weapon locating radars, and next-generation telecommunication repair facilities.
Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Aujla and Lieutenant General Rajiv K Sahni reviewed the strategic roadmap driving these cutting-edge advancements, which incorporate Industry 5.0 standards and indigenous defence innovation.
The collaborative review highlights India’s ongoing efforts to enhance domestic manufacturing, reduce reliance on military imports, and boost maximum combat power by adopting advanced technology as a critical force multiplier.
