Doda Drug Abuse Campaign: Gandoh Police and NMBA Intensify Youth Awareness Drive

GANDOH, JUNE 09: In a major push against substance abuse, the Gandoh Police and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) team have scaled up their anti-drug awareness campaign by conducting targeted counseling and educational sessions for students across the Gandoh region of Doda district.

As part of this collaborative initiative, a specialized awareness program was hosted at the Gandoh Police Station. Key speakers, including DySP Bhalesa Lov Karan, NMBA Brand Ambassador Vinay Thakur, and SI Kalasha Devi, engaged directly with the students to detail the devastating impacts of drug addiction on individuals, families, and the broader social fabric. The officials highlighted the growing challenges of substance abuse and urged the youth to prioritize healthy, responsible life choices.

The students were encouraged to act as ambassadors for positive change within their own peers, families, and communities. Emphasizing that youth participation is the backbone of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’s mission to create a drug-free society, the resource team also provided essential mental health counseling, promoting wholesome lifestyles and resilience against substance pressure.
