NEW DELHI, June 3, 2026 — The National Testing Agency announced that the CUET-UG 2026 examination, which was disrupted by a technical glitch on May 30, will be reconducted on June 6 and June 7. The agency has released updated admit cards for the affected candidates, which are now available for download on the official CUET portal.

This decision follows an earlier announcement by the agency stating that 3,765 candidates who left their examination centers after a technical glitch delayed the start of the first shift on May 30 will be granted a one-time opportunity to reappear for the undergraduate admissions entrance test.

The CUET-UG is a standardized, national-level entrance examination conducted by the agency for admissions into undergraduate degree programs across central, state, and select private universities.

Since its introduction in 2022, the test, which stands as the second-largest entrance examination in the country, has experienced multiple operational disruptions across different phases, including last-minute changes in exam centers, delayed venue entry, and technical issues like server and login failures.

The examination has been conducted in a computer-based test mode since the 2025 cycle, a transition implemented by the testing agency to improve standardization, efficiency, and overall logistics for the nationwide test.
