CRPF DG GP Singh reviews poll preparedness at University of Calcutta

KOLKATA, April 28, 2026:-Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) GP Singh visited the University of Calcutta in Alipur to conduct a comprehensive operational readiness check ahead of the second phase of polling in West Bengal.

During his visit to the F/66 and B/167 companies of Adhoc 301, the Director General inspected the facilities provided to the security personnel stationed on the ground.

He personally briefed the troops on the importance of maintaining vigilance and strictly adhering to the guidelines set by the Election Commission of India.

The visit focused on ensuring that the upcoming electoral process is conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner. Singh emphasized that the guidelines must be followed in letter and spirit to uphold the integrity of the democratic process.

By reviewing the logistical arrangements and morale of the forces, the CRPF leadership aims to ensure a secure environment for voters and election officials alike across the sensitive polling zones in the state.
