Chinar Corps of Indian Army Celebrates International Yoga day with Zeal, Harmony and Collective Spirit

Srinagar June 21,2026 :- The Chinar Corps of Indian Army celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga with remarkable enthusiasm and widespread participation on 21 June 2026.

The commemorative events, organised by the Chinar Corps in collaboration with local communities, witnessed an overwhelming response, underscoring the growing embrace of yoga as a transformative way of life.

Yoga sessions were conducted across the Valley where Army personnel and local residents assembled in large numbers to partake in a collective pursuit of physical vitality and mental equilibrium.

Expert yoga instructors guided the participants through a series of asanas and breathing exercises while elaborating on the profound physical, psychological and emotional benefits of regular yoga practice.

The programme featured a vibrant display of yoga postures, interactive awareness sessions and motivational talks centred around this year’s theme,“Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” Participants were encouraged to adopt yoga as an integral component of a balanced and health-conscious lifestyle.

Observed annually on 21 June, the International Day of Yoga seeks to foster global awareness regarding the manifold benefits of yoga and its role in nurturing a healthier, more harmonious society.

The spirited celebrations across the Valley not only highlighted yoga’s universal appeal but also reaffirmed its enduring relevance as a bridge between communities, cultures and generations.
