Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo Inaugurates Security Operations Centre to Enhance Jammu and Kashmir Cyber Security
JAMMU, April 30, 2026 — Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo officially inaugurated the Jammu and Kashmir Security Operations Centre today, marking a major advancement in the Union Territory’s efforts to fortify its digital infrastructure.
The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Shaleen Kabra, Chandraker Bharti, Ramesh Kumar, and Dr. Piyush Singla, along with representatives from the National Informatics Centre.
The new facility is designed to provide continuous monitoring and rapid incident response, ensuring that government data and critical digital assets remain protected against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
During the inauguration, the Chief Secretary highlighted that the rapid expansion of digital government services makes robust cyber security an absolute necessity.
He noted that the center will act as the primary hub for safeguarding digital assets and maintaining the integrity of e-governance services for the public.
Equipped with state-of-the-art tools for real-time threat intelligence and vulnerability assessments, the center will maintain close coordination with national bodies like CERT-In.
The event included a technical presentation by Anil Kumar Sharma on the operational capabilities of the facility, which aims to provide a seamless and secure digital environment across the Union Territory.
