Assam Rifles and Spearhead Division Honor 1962 War Hero in Arunachal Pradesh

AALO, May 11, 2026:- Assam Rifles and the Spearhead Division under Spear Corps recently organized a ceremony at the War Memorial in Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh, to honor the legacy of P A Rege.

The event paid tribute to the Vir Chakra recipient for his distinguished courage and contributions during the 1962 War. Members of the fallen officer’s family were present as the military community gathered to recognize his service to the nation.

The commemorative event saw participation from the civil administration, public representatives, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and various ex-servicemen groups.

Activities included a formal wreath-laying ceremony and an interactive session with the family.

To mark the occasion, attendees also participated in a tree plantation drive, symbolizing a collective commitment to environmental conservation and the preservation of the rich military heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.
