India Rejects Pakistan Propaganda on Youm-e-Istehsal, Slams Human Rights Violations in PoJK
NEW DELHI, August 05, 2026 — India has strongly condemned and categorically rejected remarks made by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister regarding the observance of the so-called Youm-e-Istehsal. In a statement addressing media queries, Ministry of External Affairs Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal dismissed Pakistan’s actions as political absurdity and futile attempts to spread malicious propaganda against India.
Reaffirming India’s sovereign position, the ministry stated that the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are, have always been, and will forever remain an integral and inalienable part of India. The Ministry of External Affairs emphasized that the constitutional changes enacted on August 5, 2019, are strictly internal matters of India that have fostered unprecedented socio-economic development, good governance, and democratic empowerment in the region.
Asserting that Pakistan has no locus standi to comment on India’s domestic affairs, the spokesperson highlighted that Islamabad’s desperate efforts to peddle falsehoods are designed solely to divert international focus from its dismal human rights record and its recognized role as a global epicenter of terrorism.Calling out Islamabad’s hypocrisy, New Delhi drew attention to the ongoing brutal suppression of fundamental rights in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
The spokesperson noted that Pakistani security forces have recently deployed lethal violence, targeted killings, and draconian bans against peaceful civil rights protests led by the local population in PoJK. India advised Pakistan to abandon predictable diplomatic theater, end state-sponsored bloodshed in occupied territories, take credible and irreversible action against terror networks operating on its soil, and immediately vacate all Indian territories under its illegal and forcible occupation.
