Doda Police Boost Anti-Drug Campaign with Role Model Felicitations at Assar School
DODA, AUGUST 4 — In a major push to strengthen community involvement in the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Police Station Assar hosted a special felicitation ceremony at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Assar. The initiative, titled “Facilitation of Role Models in the Fields of Education, Sports and Other Areas,” was designed to inspire young minds, promote positive community leadership, and reinforce the vital message of building a drug-free society across the district.
During the event, Dr. Abdul Rehman, Medical Officer at Primary Health Centre (PHC) Assar, was honored as a key role model in recognition of his dedicated and exemplary service to local healthcare. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rehman interacted directly with the students and delivered an impactful lecture outlining the severe physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug abuse. He emphasized the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, maintaining personal discipline, and striving for academic excellence, while strongly urging the youth to avoid narcotic substances and contribute positively as responsible citizens.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the school principal, faculty members, students, and officers from Police Station Assar. Attendees actively participated in the awareness session, expressing gratitude for the efforts of Doda Police in highlighting constructive community leaders and driving grassroots awareness.
