Shri Amarnath Yatra Convoys Suspended Amid High Security Ahead of August 5 Anniversary

Jammu Aug 05: The movement of Shri Amarnath Yatra convoys remained suspended today on Wednesday as a precautionary security measure ahead of the seventh anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370.
Authorities put enhanced security arrangements in place across the region to maintain order and ensure safety.Officials stated that no Yatra convoy was allowed to move from Jammu toward the Baltal base camp during the day.
Similarly, no return convoy carrying pilgrims was permitted to depart from Baltal for Jammu as part of the temporary restrictions.Despite the suspension of convoy movement, pilgrims who had already reached the Baltal base camp were permitted to proceed to the Holy Cave Shrine for darshan according to the scheduled movement.
Authorities clarified that the Yatra continues in a regulated manner, with restrictions applied specifically to fresh and return convoy movements as a preventive step.
