High Alert on Article 370 Anniversary: Joint Mock Drill at Bari Brahmana Railway Station to Test Security Preparedness
SAMBA, August 05,2026 — Security agencies across Jammu and Kashmir are on high alert today, marking the anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. This significant date prompted intense vigilance, leading to coordinated search operations in sensitive areas.
As part of these enhanced measures, a major joint mock drill was conducted at the Bari Brahmana Railway Station in Samba district to rigorously test the prevailing security grid and ensure maximum preparedness.The joint exercise was orchestrated under the leadership of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Bari Brahmana.
The core objective of the simulated operation was to assess and enhance the coordinated response capabilities, mutual cooperation, and swift action of various security wings in the event of a terrorist attack or any other high-stakes emergency situation.
